A useful bug report
Share only the information needed to explain the issue.
- Your extension version and Chrome version.
- The affected platform: Canvas, Gradescope, Gmail, Outlook or Google Calendar.
- The steps that led to the issue and the error text shown.
- If helpful, a screenshot with student information, email contents, account details and other private data removed.
Keep passwords, verification codes, API keys and complete private messages out of support emails. The support address does not need those credentials.

Which course platforms does the beta support?
The Canvas connector supports standard *.instructure.com sites and verified custom school HTTPS domains. Open your signed-in Canvas Dashboard; custom domains ask for access to that exact school site. One school is active per browser profile, and switching schools preserves existing local records. Gradescope imports require a verified match to the selected Canvas Dashboard. Piazza course links may be discovered, but Piazza posts are not synchronized.
Will checking Completed submit my assignment?
No. Upcoming, In Progress and Completed are personal organizational labels in the extension. Submit and verify your coursework in the original platform.
Do background checks work with course tabs closed?
The extension can check supported sources while Chrome is running and the source accounts remain signed in. Checks depend on site access, login state and the source pages being available. Confirm important deadlines at the source.
Why can’t I connect Google Calendar?
The Calendar service entry is public, but Google OAuth public authorization is still being completed. Service identity sign-in and Google consent are separate requirements. An installed extension or a service sign-in page alone does not establish a working Calendar connection. Do not assume an event was saved unless the extension confirms it.
How does the standard ChatGPT or Claude action work?
The extension copies a prepared task prompt and opens the selected provider’s website. You paste and send it using your own account. Standard replies stay on that website. Advanced local mode is a separate, optional configuration with its own local-service processing.
How do I stop email review or remove stored data?
Pause scanning to stop future checks. “Stop and forget this mailbox” removes that mailbox’s extension review profile and extracted results without deleting your actual mail. Local coursework clear controls remove captured coursework and associated personal history; removing a completed task from a list is a different action. Exports and information sent to other services remain wherever you saved or sent them.
Is this an official university or platform product?
No. Your Academic Agent is independent student productivity software operated by Howie Zhang. It is not an official UCSD, Canvas, Gradescope, Piazza, Google, OpenAI or Anthropic product.
